To date, Kazutoshi has made more than one hundred screenprints of flowers. Ten examples are shown in this gallery. Click on a picture to enlarge it. While his flower subjects include a variety of species his favorite is the iris (pictures 1-5). Kazutoshi draws the shape and surface details of flowers very accurately but often enhances their actual colors. The word ‘dazzling’ is a good descriptor of his flower art, especially when he uses gold leaf to make a picture’s background shine. To see more examples of Kazutoshi’s flower art click here.
